You never know what you’re going to get when you buy a movie-based video game. In some cases, you get a high-quality interactive adventure that stands on its own. On the flip side, the game might be a shameless marketing tie-in or rushed out the door to be released at the same time as the film.
Here’s a look at the five best and worst movie-based games in recent memory:
BEST
• Ghostbusters: The Video Game (Atari)
• G-Force (Disney Interactive)
• Batman: Arkham Asylum (Warner Bros.)
• X-Men Origins: Wolverine (Activision)
• Saw (Konami)
WORST
• Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (Electronic Arts)
• G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra (Electronic Arts)
• Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs (Activision)
• Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (Activision)
• Watchmen: The End is Nigh (Warner Bros.)
