A woman trying to get to Alaska to find work has problems on the road. This is a film about a certain type of poverty in America. Michelle Williams stars.

Samantha Morton stars as a supermarket worker who takes credit for her dead boyfriend’s novel. Directed by Lynne Ramsay.
HEAD ON (GEGEN DIE WAND)
Two Turkish expatriates in Germany meet in a psychiatric hospital, marry for convenience and fall in love. Extraordinary (albeit violent) film about living in two cultures and belonging to none. Directed by Fatih Akin.
NINE QUEENS
About con artists and a sheet of priceless stamps, this Argentinian film is built of suspicion, psychological tricks, trust and cunning. It’ll make you think of Hitchcock, in the best way.
